Kosma moved to England in the summer 2007 after graduating in Physiotherapy at Krakow University in Poland and commenced his career with Health and Social Care. Kosma started as a Support Worker in a care home supporting people with acquired brain injuries. Shortly after, he was promoted to a senior support worker position and then a year later to deputy manager.
In 2010 Kosma secured a post as registered manager and continued in various registered roles for the next 7 years supporting adults with autism, severe challenging behaviours, Prader Willi Syndrome, Downs Syndrome and many other complex diagnoses.
In 2017 Kosma decided to expand his experience within Health and Social Care and diversify. He applied at East Sussex County Council and was successfully appointed within the Joint Community Rehabilitation Team. There, Kosma was appointed to the role of Directly Provided Services -Registered Manager, and was responsible for a team of Support Workers, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapist who supported individuals in their own homes. In addition, Kosma was also responsible for the provision of support within the discharge and admission teams for local Hospitals.
Now as Cavendish’s ARC Manager, Kosma is responsible for our Activities and Resource Centre. He is leading our bespoke team of Assistants in the provision of purposeful opportunities which empower people with learning disabilities to enjoy activities which include teaching and learning, leisure and pleasure.
