Classes
Fitness
This is a 1 hour class in which we start with a gentle warm up followed by light-weight dumbbell exercises to help tone, improve flexibility and encourage good posture. This session is low impact and medium intensity. An easy to follow structure and ideal for beginners. A wonderful way to incorporate a small amount of gentle, physical activity and help to improve mental wellbeing.
The Sensory Room
A Sensory Room is a specially designed room which combines a range of stimuli to help individuals develop and engage their senses. Our room include lights, colours, sounds, and sensory soft play objects, all within a safe environment that allows the person using it to explore and interact without risk.
Sensory Rooms can help those who have learning difficulties, developmental disabilities or sensory impairments learn to interact with the world around them, but in a safe environment that builds up their confidence and their ability. The user gets an unrestrained non-threatening space where they can explore at their own leisure. This freedom lets their teacher, therapist or carer see what calms them, rouses them and what they like or don’t.
Yoga
Our fantastic yoga instructor Paulina, provides an hour of relaxation on Tuesdays and Fridays at 3pm. This is a very popular session and is helpful in reducing anxiety as well as improving strength and flexibility.
Suitable for all levels including beginners.
